bassrace
No all subs should react the same as long as you dont wire them up wrong or their out of phase. What are the dimensions of the box and port? Btw my all my ports are on one side of the box. jakobebassbudds
i have three 12s and port on the same plain and i have unloading problems with the furthest sub from the port but its not to common for it to happen but my box is tuned to like 28 hz and is 50 inches long lol so i dont know depends on set up and variables like all vehicles and equipment , just stating my issue and that it is possible Quote 2 12ks and i dont know what to do build in the works! will77530
so do you think the lower tuning of your box is the reason youur having unloading issues?
Autruche
That's the reason why people put 'loading walls' in their boxes. A simple board just behind the sub closest to the internal port opening can help direct the pressure so it's more evenly spread out between the subs. However, there needs to be enough room between the port opening and the loading wall so that the wall will not effect the box's tuning. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? will77530
alright that makes sense. so for this loading wall when you say behind the sub do you mean behind the motor? how do i determine which side is behind the sub? also how do you determine what is too close to the internal port? how do you know if one of the subs is unloading will it be moving more than the other? when designing a box is there any key give aways to determine if there will be any unloading issues? sorry for all the questions just trying to expand my understanding of enclosure designs
