fox_racin4 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 How far are ports from back of box? Heard this on the weekend. Bass sounds pretty good but mids could be louder. that is the builders preference though, i personally dont like loud mids and highs either. Well when you can bearly hear them over the bass... 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
Jagraj7870 Posted October 28, 2011 Author Report Posted October 28, 2011 45'd all the corners inside the box for additional strength and also so theres more circulation, the first corner i did was the bottom, i noticed that it started to crack since there was no kitty hair or anything added, it was straight resin. i later covered it with a layer of fiberglass. i mixed kitty hair in the resin to make it more stronger, so it won't crack or anything i made these blocks to support the aeroports inside the box, also u can see that the bottom of the box is layered with fiberglass. covered all the screws and where the rivets where flush mounted with fiberglass bondo * this is were i outsourced the project to get the carpet done * one of the biggest mistakes i made during this build so when i got it back from the guy that did the carpeting it looked like this.... all the ends were folded on top of eachother and stapled so i called the guy and complained about the poor job he did and told him to fix it since i paid 70$ for it, he started putting up a bitch fit so i just left it and took on the issue by myself to fix the problem i took out the staples and rolled back the carpet and then i noticed that there was enough carpet underneath to make it flush so then it started to look like this then after playing with the fuzz to hide the line it started to look like this and then i know its not 100% perfect but from what it looked like, this is the best u can do without spending any money. - 2 SMDs 1 Kicker WarhorseSound System Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/120796-2-18s-in-jeep-wrangler-jk-w-kicker-amplifiers/Air Bag Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/166437-jeep-wrangler-bagdj10k-build/https://www.facebook.com/teammayzn

Jagraj7870 Posted October 29, 2011 Author Report Posted October 29, 2011 glued the ports in, had to use a rubber mallet to put them in since i made the hole a bit smaller for a tight fit then i followed "the1uwannab22" wiring diagram he sent me, thanks for the help bro . i asked kicker to send me one but they told me to have it professionally done since this amp is like no other. ran the wires straight into the box, again these were really tight. i ran them through the box without using bolts because i couldn't get copper bolts for best conductivity so i just ended up doing this the beast! this bee tried stinging my surround - 2 SMDs 1 Kicker WarhorseSound System Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/120796-2-18s-in-jeep-wrangler-jk-w-kicker-amplifiers/Air Bag Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/166437-jeep-wrangler-bagdj10k-build/https://www.facebook.com/teammayzn
