zach2323
SO recently this problem came up. Just a quick rundown.. i have a 15" rf sub and 6 alpine speakers and alpine head unit. So recently this problem started where if i have the sub on loud, various speakers various speakers will cut in and out(sometimes left side sometimes the rear) Its weird because its an out of the blue problem i didn't mess with anything to cause it any ideas? head unit issue maybe? Thanks in advance guys.

skittlesRgood
he said he turns his subs loud. im pretty sure that just means he turns the subs up. cause you cant put "loud" on only the subs. make and model of all your equipment is needed. HU, amps, speakers, ohm loads, settings on HU and amps. we need all of those details. Quote If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. TEAM-570-SPL
yeah all of your setting should be flat on your head unit any way... that is like putting water in your engine... nothing good comes from it. my bass on my hu is at 2%, my treb at 4%, my fade is 3% rear and my subs are on 3% (gose to 12%) on my hu and it still knocks never clipped once my only other idea is did you wire your speakers correctly... did you tape them (BAD!) or use terminals (GOOD)... how about your head unit did you just twist the wires together and tape them (Eh... BAD) or did you use terminals (GOOD) cuz from what im hearing i think maybe you get a short some where in the mix... i maybe wrong but its worth a look if you got the time... zach2323
all 5x7 alpine speakers at 4 ohms run off the head unit which is an alpine cde-102 but i have the alpine power pack hooked into it which puts off 45watts per channel. and as for loud/bass settings loud is off and all settings off and it still has this issue oh and my sub is a rockford fosgate t2d215 if it matters. Katt
Sub amp?Never specified that. You say clipping / distortion. Listening to clipped songs? Or your speakers are fugged.
