I installed an AQ2200 last weekend, after I scoped it I noticed the clipping light is spot on. One thing that does make a difference though is whether or not you get full RCA voltage out from the head unit. My suggestion is to try to get a hold of a DD-1 or a scope and tune your head unit to find it's maximum volume, then tune the amp. Many times I've tuned an amp and had it sound like crap until we scoped the head unit and got full power out of it's RCAs.

by full power out of the RCA's u mean the max volume before the head unit clips? and if thats so then i guess i gotta find out why my system isnt any louder than my old 15 inch Fi SSD on a 1200w hifonics. Should i turn the bass boost up at all?

Don't touch the bass boost set your gain with a scope or dd-1 and set your filters in the right spot.

spl dust is an option you can get on the coils... it's great for extra 1000 watts of power
