cc_audio
Last I checked, driving cars into saltwater is bad news. Can't say I know exactly why, I'm assuming accelerated corrosion. Cars that go through ocean floods/hurricanes/tsunamis have heaps of electrical problems, that I do know. Truck is beast for sure. Quote It's all gone! kryptonite
Provided he gave it a thorough wash afterwards, salt water or fresh water its just water. Here in buffalo, our vehicles deal with salt season (winter) 8 months out of the year. Salty slush sticks to fender wells and frame rails, my truck is thoroughly rusted through because I never took the time to undercoat or wash out the underside after winter. Either way its pretty cool, his only real worry should be if his axle breather tubes are above the water because water in your gear oil will lead to seized axles unless you change out the fluids several times to get the water out.
