Just getting into systems

Do the (4) Rockfords on the (2) JL amps, if you need a box design let me know. But just to make sure the Fosgates are the same ones right? And to answer your other questions a little more clearly, you run into interference between subs when you mix brands or sizes just for the simple fact that they are different in every way (usually, might sometimes be one or two things in common). One JL amp is probably more powerful than your BOSS so jump on those two if you can. And the boxes you are showing pictures of are special styles of boxes called bandpass (i think one was 4th order and the other was quasi 6th) either way starting out you would probably be better off with a plane jane simple ported box. And speakers (mids/highs) typically are fine to mix brands (preferably all the same but its not bad as subs since speakers are usually far apart) just always do regular speakers in pairs. Ok then ya do that you should be gtg. Although with the two JL amps you may want to look at do 0ga to the back and then a 4ga run going to either amp from a distrobution block.

After reading this thread, im glad you finaly listened to what everyone had to offer. Good to see new people into car audio. Keep up the work and listen to what people have to say. You will lear a lot here as long as you listen. Hope so see some pics of your build when you get it all done.

May I add that I noticed you said you're jobless right? You may want to be careful with getting into car audio believe me a lot of random ish happens in this game and when those problems reach you, you don't want to be stuck without a car to drive. Also remember I am pretty sure all of us here has either received or been close to receiving a ticket for being too loud (noice violations are bitch) I have gotten a few I take them in stride but someone without a job might not be too accepting of one...just saying. Know what you're getting into before you jump head first. I noticed everyone failed to ask the question can that truck even handle the power you're throwing at it?

im not going to be getting a ticket cause i dont drive this on the streets yet lol..its just an offroad truck till i get insurence

Technically yes it is more than enough for what you doing but that does not mean problems will not arise...in the game of life always remember, shit happens...lol. Since you said this isn't your daily driver or your means of transportation then by all means guinea pig that bish learn all you can now, trial and error then when you get it on the road its a beast. ported? sealed? down firing?

the reason i wanted to do somthing like this is so i can wrap it in vinyl and you wouldnt be able to tell i had subs by looking through the back window

Ported and Sealed is totally dependent on the person and their listening habits. For most they go ported so they can tune their boxes to exact preference. I have a ported on my SPL build but I am going sealed for my SQ build in my Civic I like sealed because I don't lose any notes but if you want to get low and loud ported all day. For someone just getting into systems I would advise sealed its easier and you can always change it later and subs firing up is usually the suggestion in hatchbacks and SUV's.

im gonna use four fosgate hx2s

and its about its just under 3' deep and 3.5' wide
