I'll be in Vegas for USACI show early dec, I'll give you a demo of my sa-12's doing mid 140's+ at 33hz in a trunk. Stupid low and loud, and 100% clean signal, o-scope, on a crescendo 2000, with box rise. Size of the sub is only part of the equation. Power, power to supply the power draw, MOST IMPORTANTLY, box design. Take from me, ANYONE can build a box, most people can do the math, it's designing the box, 4th order, 6th order, loading chamber, slot port, aero port.

There are just so many variables big homie, when you talk BTL, be careful, you didn't go to scool one day and go from addition and multiplying, to geomotry, right? There is a process to everything, take your time, do it right, and upgrade. Nobody, well most people, for theIr first system went out and got top notch stuff and hit a 160, everything is progress.

Once you're in this for awhile you will changed amps, subs, mids, highs, line drivers, batteries, wire, it's a constant upgrade. I started off just this year with one kicker comp 10 on 200 watts. After about 6 different subs, 5 amp, 4 sets of power wire (from 8ga to 4ga to 0ga).

Just be patient, I'll see you in Dec, show you what I got and explain how I got there and pieced everything together because I also don't have $4000 to drop a once. $300 this month, $200 next month, $400 the following month. It will eventually all come together.

AND, full tilt means you're playing your stereo about 3/4 and as much bass as you can get without killing everything. You can be in full tilt while your amp is set at 1/4 gain.

in a civic, im pretty sure you could get 2 12s louder than 2 15s with proper airspace. 1 15 would sound better than 2. i would grab an American Bass HD15 (ebay for under 400 iirc) or a pair of the 12" XFLs (also on ebay for 200 apiece)

2 12s has more cone area than 1 15, and what's cheaper depends on the woofers you are looking at. 1 15 SMD won't be cheaper than 2 12 Boss woofers, see what I'm saying?

Wow...just sifted through this pile of poop...at first I thought it was a joke or something along those lines.... But I was wrong, this is a real thread..lmao.

To the OP= Ive been a member here for almost a year now, and just started to post a lot recently, why you ask? Because I was doing my researching and learning. Every single thing you have asked over and over has been covered a million times, it wont hurt you to go back some pages and just start reading.. And then when you think youve learned alot, read a bunch more. That way you can ask important questions and actually sound like you have a clue. A lot of us on here are way older than you dude, we've been there, done that, and are offering you advice from experience, not from what we think. Dont take this the wrong way, but you arent ready to drop 2k+ watts into your car, youll only end up angry with wasted money and fried gear. Start smaller, familiarize yourself with the basics in and out, and become familiar with what gear costs, then you can take your knowledge, their help, and your budget, to make the best that you can with what you have access to. My current build is going to blow everything Ive ever had out of the water by far, and it will be a 2k watt system at best, and it has been labor intensive and cost intensive even with the great deals I have gotten on things. Almost 2 bills into getting the jeep wired right. Just wired.... You know that old saying, you gotta pay to play? well it definately applies here, you gotta pay with cash and with time to educate yourself. Keep learning, take it in small steps and be respectful and these guys will help you have some slap. Best of luck to you.
