AI James Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 meh illegal or not i think its stupid to smash them, thats alot of revenue they are crushing...If the point is for them not to get it back then if you sell it part it out or any other matter of making money they still arent getting it back. The thought of it being illegal to street race so you diserve it is about as good as saying anything else thats unlawful diserves the most extreme action. I dont agree with street racing but i think the crushing of them is completely stupid.
meade916 Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 Nope anytime a car is seized for illegal street racing they crush them...I saw many a car get crushed when i worked my gig it was sad at times...They figured it would cut down on racing because people wouldnt want their cars to get crushed i have never, in 24 years of driving, seen anyone get their car crushed for street racing. I dont think this car was crushed because of that. Thats youtube for you, you can make anyone believe anything just by the title. I also dont believe we even have a law (here) that allows the police to crush your car either. You might go to jail and have hefty fines, lose your car for 30 days or something but i HIGHLY doubt its going to be crushed.....i mean if you kill a bunch of people maybe but not if you just get busted doing it. side note: i almost got the Red one - i like that car, almost wish i did! meade916 Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 Steve has a brain in his head and he doesnt street race..He may smack his throttle every once in a while but that isnt street racing well we did a quick little "blast" last weekend with the ISF and CTS-V just to "see". We backed off as soon as we hit about 85 but as you know these two vehicles are just getting started at 85 LOL. the ISF got the jump... but the CTS-V pulled ahead once the S/C kicked in We backed it off before it got to crazy but i would have loved to been able to push it a little harder. so i guess im a little guilty but we did do it in an isolated area with nobody but us around.
