rockford fosgate question.

Recommended Posts

i have someone willing to trade me a R1000-1D for my hifonics brz-1200d. but i was looking at there specs on sonicelectronix and the hifonics has a better signal to noise, less thd at rated rms, and the hifonics has a subsonic the fosgate doesnt. would those things affect much? i thought fosgate was spouse to make really amazing amps? should i still go with the fosgate? i need 1000 at 2 ohms witch the fosgate gives but the hifonics only gives 900 rms. which do you think would be better for me?

its a brz so it should do its rated power so if you trade ur getting screwed @ 1ohm out of 200 watts...but if the RF gives you 100 more watts @2ohm its a tough call.RF i think cost more.but the hifonics amps do sound really clean...i love hifonics amps personally so im gonna say keep the hifonics

yeah thats what i was thinking. the reason i wanted to trade is im pretty sure the fosgate will be more efficient and if i ever want to upgrade i could probably sell the fosgate for more but another thing is if i trade for the fosgate the guy doesnt have a bass remote. which idk if i really need cus my hu has a sub control.

in my opinion i would go with the fosgate. they been around along time and they are a solid product. as for bassknob those are cheap on ebay besides your getting more power out of the fosgate =] but its up to you good luck

^^this

Your hifonics is actually probably higher quality, from what I've seen the RF prime series isn't anything special. Plus don't worry about the 100 watts, on a daily set up that isn't even an audible difference, and to be honest probably isn't a difference at all.

so far...
