Cashdollar2009
Making sure my friends Ap1500d is working properly. Box is 3.0ft^3 tuned to 35Hz. Sundown Audio SA-15 ran at 2-ohms probably seeing around 500wrms on stock electrical after seeing rise, efficiency, etc. Box was built sup up port back for a friend's Ford Escape, he offered me a great deal to buy it back And cannot fit the box properly in my Aveo trunk so I am running a terrible trunk orientation. Anyways, I was impressed for what it is. Enjoy! And yes, this is 25Hz in a 35Hz tuned box. I built it, and I am surprised that the sub still isn't unloading down at 25Hz. Probably because i'm almost just running the rms. Quote On 6/30/2011 at 1:11 AM, 'Ray' said: Acoustical energy is free. Electrical energy is not. Cashdollar2009
Just going to throw this out there too, i'm not sure how the car is going to handle either two 15" XL's or a single 18" T.S.N.S. daily on my DC 5k. Cashdollar2009
On the ear-o-meter, i'm probably only sitting around a 141 at 45Hz right now. I would like to do upper 40's on music when it's all said and done. I'm not sure how that's going to work if I can't keep the doors on. Haha. I just thought it was impressive how it was flexing this much under the given circumstances. Quote On 6/30/2011 at 1:11 AM, 'Ray' said: Acoustical energy is free. Electrical energy is not. Cashdollar2009
Mind set on a pair of 15" XL's on my DC 5k. Double the cone area, multiply the power by more than 10, and add an efficient enclosure for this vehicle tuned low. Gonna have to make a few friends to hold my car together at events. Cashdollar2009
Oh I believe so too. It's only seeing around 500wrms, That's 100 less than the rms of a sub that will take four times its rated power. Lol This was just thrown together out of scrap 4ga and the box came from a friends suv. It was supposed to be a pair of d4's in side-by-side boxes ran at 1-ohm. So now it's seeing a friends ap1500 @ 2-ohms in a sub up port side jammed into an Aveo trunk. Box tuned to 35Hz and this is a 25Hz note. I love it. Can't wait to get my 15" XL's in on my DC 5k and 28Hz daily port. Quote On 6/30/2011 at 1:11 AM, 'Ray' said: Acoustical energy is free. Electrical energy is not.
