Vooloco
If I can't do 18s then what do you guys think between 2 15' bl's, AQ's, Nightshades, or DC XLs? They would be running 3k RMS in a 11-12 cubic foot trunk? Or are they all about the same?
Vooloco
Nightshade are expensive like over $500 per sub! How big of a box for 2 15" bl's?
dkahns51
All those subs are different/good. **Clicky>>My 2009 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport Buildlog<<Clicky** I'm messing up 98% of the time
Vooloco
All those subs are different/good. Can you tell me the differences?
Sanitarium
You could use DC subs. Level 3's or level 4's would be a good replacement for the BL's. They would be fine in 5-6 cubes net per sub. .. this is the Fi sponsered section homie.
Torres
there's more to putting a setup in the trunk than just putting subs in their proper boxes. you have to take the trunk and any restrictions it has into consideration as well
BITLD
Depends what sort of sound you want. IF you want LOTs of impact and not worried about the roll off, sure stick 2 BL 18s in 11-12 cubes, they will work just fine. If you want smooth sound with little more in the way of a shallow low end roll off, 2 15s. Theres alot of confusion as to certain manufactuers claiming drivers to work in certain sized enclosures. Bottom line. Comes down to motor strength. That doesn't mean one brand has more or less, every 'motor' peaks different, some just peak others have peaks in different areas depending upon the way they are FEA'd. Fi DO work in small enclosures, extremely well! www.BladeICE.com UK/European Distributors Ascendant Audio Fi Car Audio XS Power KnuKonceptz.co.uk Facebook Youtube Channel
dohckiller808
did you consider 4 12s?

They would be fine in 5-6 cubes net per sub. ..elaborate how it would be a good replacement...considering a level 4 is closer to an SSD in mechanical capacity..not so sure that claim is accurate.. Edit: To the OP, don't stick a pair of 18s in a trunk. You are wasting your time. Authorized Ascendant Audio Dealer! Message me for information.
