The 1200 is MAX output rating. Not typically good to buy based on max numbers. It's only got 40 amps of fusing as well. I doubt it's efficiency is that amazing either.

If you are dealing with older autotek (ie. white mean machine) I would say go for it. If you are dealing with the newer stuff I would do some research because for a few extra bucks you can fine better performing amps on the market today.
