Its loud and annoying on the higher Hz. Even the mid bass from my kicks vibrate the shit out of it, so annoying....... Real96SS Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 15, 2011 I can under stand the scraches and dends but how in the hell do they crack a dash? Did they take it out? It looks like they either sat something heavy on it or pushed down on it too hard because its just hard plastic with no support really under it.It sucks because they have to replace the whole dash cause the body shop said they can't fix just the crack. This particular Chevy truck platform (including Tahoes and Yukons) is absolutely notorious for dashes cracking in that exact place. You'd think they'd make it out of some semi-flexible material, or make it thicker, or support the dash somewhere, but noooo... could simply be changes in temperature/air pressure that caused it. ^ this, in my tahoe i have two crack. one is in the EXACT same place as you pictured. other is over by the airbag. theres a youtube vid where a guy went around a dealership and found a majority of the trucks all had cracks, in the EXACT same spots. my parents just got a 2010 yukon, im waiting to see how long til theirs cracks Yeah my truck has the crack by the airbag also.Sounds like a manufacturing defect to me. I purchased the truck brand spanking new back in 2007 as a birthday present to myself.I never noticed the bumper though.I actually prefer it.Also I have no clue what NBS and NNBS means.Sorry its midnight and I'm at work with no sleep today because I was working on getting my other car registered today. Entire dash is what the body shop told me.I have to take it back to them in the morning so they can get some info they need in order to give me the estimate to get a new one shipped here. Real96SS Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2011 So finally got around to adding on some more small things.haven't been able to find time to get anything done.Plus I'm not in much of a hurry because Im still waiting on my Alternators from DC.They should be getting shipped this week or early next week.Once they get here then I will go ahead and start the box build.If anybody have an idea on the box or just want to help my dimensions are 49W x 21H x 30D. Real96SS Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2011 Also got around to getting the deck and the rearview camera installed.It's not much room behind the deck which made it hard just with the normal wires behind it,to put it back in.So for now its temporary until I start running all my RCA's and then I'm going to have to try and make some more room behind the deck for all the extra wires and so the deck can sit in their comfortably because right now its barely fitting. I thought since I don't tow and have no plans on towing that this would be the perfect spot for the rearview camera Wires are ran and camera is now working.The last pic was when I stopped messing with it for the day.Should have pictures and videos of what I have done so far up soon.Maybe this weekend if I can find some time to wash the truck again LoL!!!
