Looks sick though! thank you, i find it scary that i can turn a 2 day build into 5 min of pictures that fast but im happy with the outcome, my first shot at door panels so i feel i have a solid base to work from, if i can work out getting us a vendor/partner spot on the site we will be offering door panels and A-pillars wrapped in whatever fabric you want at decent prices

loganberry Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 they look great!!! im getting ready to do some big stuff with my door panels and its gonna be my first time doing a big project with fiberglass. once i get towards the end any tips on how to get it super smooth like glass? i wanna paint it and have it looking great. im gonna paint it the same color as my truck and i saw you guys left some part unwrapped thats why i asked what you did to get it so smooth cause obviously you dont want a part exposed and have it looking bumpy or anything like that My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk

loganberry Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 is that a spray on product? and can i pick it up at any place that carries fiberglass and bondo? did you guys also do the milkshake trick too? i heard that helps alot smoothing out all the imperfections and getting it paint ready. and as far as sanding goes thats no problem i have more sand paper than ill ever use and every grit from 80-2000 and everything in between (the higher stuff is for wetsanding) My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
DRCinc Posted November 2, 2011 Author Report Posted November 2, 2011 they sell it at any automotive paint shop bro, youll need a compressor and spray gun for it as well. im not sure about the milkshake stuff but we make our bondo thinner with the fiberglass resin (shown in the video) sandpapers gunna be your worst enemy the min u start that build tho, i went through about 6 hours of it

Without fiberglass large pieces like this will have zero strength, one swift kick and they will crack like an eggshell. its a showroom piece theirs no use in reinforcing it like that unless its actually going to be in use, we did it to show our customers psychical examples of what we can do, the same reason we didnt completely seal up the back I was thinking the same thing, but they can reenforce it from the back cant they? yes we could but like i said its a piece to give customers and example of the things we can do
