okay. thats what i thought but what do you have your battery grounded at or is it on a PSU or something like that?

Would it be good to get a 14v battery for the test bench? To better simulate a running vehicle? I haven't really looked into making my own yet.

no. because 14v batteries need to be charged at 16v. 12v batteries are charged at 14v.

Yes I'm sure he's aware of that, but he is asking that because the battery of the test bench is not being charged.
