So after a lot of reading and searching and such, I've come across the SA-8s. Now, I have two CVR 12's, and them suckers get loud. But I want more. I paid 180 for the pair, and as far as I'm concerned, it was a pretty good deal. I'm planning on getting an AP15001d to push them. But a lot of reading and such says the SA-8s are loud as hell. What about a SA-10? Do you think a single SA 8 or 10 would be louder than my CVRs?

Current setup in my 96 Hoe

Subs - 2 Crossfire XSv2 18's

Alt - Singer 330A

Eh it all depends on the install man, but I do know for a fact that they would sound a hell of a lot better! An if your going with a single sub set up I would suggest getting the most cone area possible for the given amount of space you have. But the sundowns are much better subs, but honestly i would not a run a single 8 on 1500 watts, I would throw that at the 10,12, or 15 all day tho.

so far...

HU- pioneer DEH-P59001B

Amp- crescendo BC2000D

Wire- 1/0 awg welding lead

Electric- Big 3 ^same wire

Subs- 2 Obsidian Audio 12 d4's

So if I got say an SA-10 it'd sound better and be louder than the CVR 12's with the audiopipe pushing both setups ?

SA

Yeah, but I mean for the price of one SA-10 is a little more than what I got my two 12 CVRs for. The SA-8s are a lot cheaper than the 10s too, which is kinda weird.

Your two CVRs will be louder just because more surface area than a single 10. Also of course smaller woofers are cheaper cause less material and less quality than its bigger brothers. If anything, getting 2 Sa-10s will be louder than 2 12 crv if in the right box with proper power.
