JoeyDix
I might be building a system in a jeep Cherokee in the near future but before I go through with it I figured I'd get some opinions. I already have a dual 2 ohm kicker L7 15 wired at 1 ohm. So if I purchase another dual 2 ohm L7 15 and a sundown audio saz-2500D amp should I run each sub separately to the amp at 1 ohm or should I run the subs together at 0.5 ohm? Dangrebel
Either way you do it the amp will see a final .5 ohm load because the outputs are bridge inside the amp. They just have 2 channels to make it easier to wire. Quote 1999 GMC Yukon, 6 PSI platform 5 18's, 4th order bandpass by BHE, Taramps,
Lbox88
With 2 d2's, there is no way to run at 1 ohm. Quote UBL | Build Log
SnowDrifter
With 2 d2's, there is no way to run at 1 ohm. Yup To OP - .5 ohm or 2 ohm. bassahaulic
You should probably learn a little more before stepping up to bigger power.
JoeyDix
I'm sorry. I don't function very well in mornings. In a rush to post this thread before going to work I messed up the entire post. I meant to say I have a dual 4 ohm l7 15 and if I bought another it would be the same
JoeyDix
I'm really starting to confuse myself now. I bought the sub a couple years ago so I couldn't remember if it was dual 2 or dual 4. But I just looked at the receipt I kept and it is in fact dual 2 ohm voice coils and according to the diagram I used a couple years ago to wire this sub up it is a 1 ohm load. So can someone please verify that the following diagrams r incorrect: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=
Lbox88
Yes, the 1st diagram is correct. Quote UBL | Build Log
JoeyDix
Yes, the 1st diagram is correct. So wouldn't that mean that my sub could be wired at 1 ohm? I'm really confused cuz the first three replies said I was wrong
Lbox88
That would be because you were asking about running 2 D2's off of one SAZ-2500D in your original post. If you did, it would have to be run like this: Edited November 14, 2011 by Lbox88 Quote UBL | Build Log
