Can you hook up 2 different abatteries

I was woundering if it is safe and will not damage my new xs power d975 if I wire it with my stock truck battery that I have. My stock truck battery has 400+ more cranking amps then my xs power does

As long as resting voltage is close to the same.

And get both of the batts checked for good charging

And no dead cells

A lot of people say.not to mix wet and dry/agm batts

But there are also many people that say it can't hurt

it won't cause problems per say, but it won't necessarily allow your XS to perform to its full potential. the stock battery will drag the XS batt down some, to the same level as the stock battery more or less. imagine running a mile with your friend who can also run the mile in the same time as you, vs running a mile dragging a sleeping bag with your friend in it. lol poor analogy

True.

You gotta check voltage separately and if its really far apart. New batt would be good.

An alt that puts out sufficient amps would also be a determining factor in charging.
