A safety razor loaded with the right double edge blade is no joke. I run a Merkur HD with Lord Platinum blades. They will go through anything. If your serious about the safety razor go to YouTube and look up geofatboy. Watch some of his safety razor videos, you wont be disappointed. Rolex you sicken me. If you find something you like order a bunch online. I've had that same razor for about 6 months and want to upgrade to something a bit heavier. It's a good starterms kit though. I've found the soap doesn't dry as fast on your face and rinses cleaner off the blade. Wet face,brush and razor (to warm it up), mix up soap/cream, apply and scrape away. It's all in the prep boss.
