Its a 50ohm 5watt ohmite resistor..

http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/779454-resistor-wirewound-50-ohm-5w-25j50re.html

upon installation the alt would not turn on at all, after messing with it for a couple hours, i took the plug out to inspect it, a couple resistors, a potentiometer and some wires.

So its replaced for now by a 50ohm 10watt wound resistor from radio shack and seems to be working like it should.

Some sort of splint needs to be integrated into the wire loom, so it dont bend and break, thinking something like that would fix the problem. Maybe like a piece of wire from a metal close hanger or something.

This issue has been addressed and we have made changes to our current production models.

Email me your info and I will get you a new harness shipped out today without this issue.

Oh sweet, wasnt sure if it was adressed hence why I figured some sort of splint would fix this problem.

Its for a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Limited with the straight 6 4.0 iirc.

Customer is notified & emailing you now, since he is the purchaser, and came to me for the install help.

Thank you Eric!!
