knowledge
well the alt that i ordered was a DC alt pictured below, puts out great power and great idling performance. i must say though putting this alt on is not a 1 2 3 thing, as u have to disassemble most of the front end to get to the spot of the alt, and when i did mines it definitely tested my patients that day. heres pics when i did mines if you do get one and doing the job your self make sure you label were every bolt goes or u gonna be guessing afterwards. this is what it looks like when everything is cleared to get to the alt, both alt's i had were direct bolt on but being so that is a tab bigger i had to use spacers in the stock location to clear a little hump were the alt goes. make sure u dont over tight it or u will snap a bolt inside the thread like i did, i had to rethread it. now at this point is absolutely the best time to do the big 3 witch will help a ton, u can see were i ran it.. my old ho alt when it failed me so yes i had to do this twice. u can see the 1/0 gauge to the alt for the big 3. knowledge
n8 thanks for not deleting this guys topic, im just trying to help him out, since i think im the only one with the same suv. op for the battery you can start with a yellow top in its stock location, fits like a glove. i since changed the yellow top to a much bigger kinetik 2000 and it still fits perfect.
