this box is WAY too small...only 2.21cft before displacement...they recommend 2.5cft/sub

lol...yea, the simpler boxes dont take too much time to do...

btw...i have worked on urs a little a few days ago...i was messing with it for a couple of hours but my brain was numb from doing other boxes and i couldnt really get anything to work like i wanted...but i will get back on it once i finish with this round of requests..

it's all good man no rush. ima play around with a couple other smaller boxes. one guy (the reputable installer i mentioned in another post a lil bit ago) had an explorer and said the resonant frequency of explorers is about 50 hz. he used to have one...so ima take his word on that. will try that maybe with the box i do for just a pair since it'll be smaller and easier. interchangeable ports, one for 50 hz, one for 35. just in case. unless i can fit all 4 subs behind both seats, just make it tall as hell lol

Subs are like titties, They need to come in pairs because ones and threes are just wrong, and larger amounts will always draw a crowd, we all have our favorite sizes, but the bigger ones are more fun to watch move. :D

Hi i need some plans for a big subbox for my little VW Polo. I have 8 JBL GTI 1200s (old stuff i know but they are en exellent condition).

My plan is to arrange them 3 in the top, 2 in the middle and then 3 at the bottom of the baffle in some kind of weird fibreglass design.

Should i do a wall, or a "Mini-Meade" and do a big box in the back firing upwards, i have removed my rearseats so i have plenty of room.

Can you help me find out how big the volume needs to be and how long and wide the port has to be to get some good lows(am a big fan of Lil Johns Throw it up).

Big thanks from Denmark for the coolest website out there.

Hey Amatt one last question do you Know the exact cutout diameter for the 4'' flare I would like to use my jasper jig and also in order to make the port 15'' long do I cut the center tube to 10''? Sorry for all the questions but its my first time using these ports and I don't want to screw it up.

TDH FTW !!!

with the 4" aeros i got from parts express the hole cut out is the same size as the smaller flare that goes on the end of the tube...not sure on the size...i would guess around 7" or so...i would buy the flares first though to make sure...

and the total length actually needs to be 16.63" from flare to flare....i think if you were to attach just the flares to each other then that is 6"...so i would say cut the center tube to 10 or 11" and you will be fine (but again i would wait til you have the flares to make sure)....it will be damn close as to what that spreadsheet shows anyways...

i likes me some audio stuff...
