the gs and rs have the same motor... the rs jus has cheaper interior.. and 14 inch wheels....

not that high of 150's... hell i will be happy with 152 153.... hell 150.0 works for me... i just want to be in the rollin 150 club

chris i am sure you can help me hit that... everyone says it is 80% encloser 20% equipment.. burp 150 is okay... i rather play music at 150.. and burp 152 or whatever...

I think a lot of us would love to be "rollin in the 150 club"....but it's the "on music" part that makes it tough....REALLY tough.

"on music" means you AVERAGE 150db over the span of 30sec/2min/or a whole song.

THAT SH*T IS NO JOKE

To really "average 150db" means you gotta be WELL over that on burps.

So like to be at "150 on music" is like being able to burp 160-or closer to it.

THATS why Dave (who spends quite a bit of time in Steves Tahoe and similiarly loud setups) and Mr. Excursion FULL of subs over there are sayin dude-no F*ckin way-esp since you're talkin bout startin from scratch.

Now-thats not to say it's not possible in a year or so but damn man that'd be one hardcore, build it all the time and keep rebuilding it and WHOLE LOTTA $$$$$$$...$$$ Kinda year.

I'm not sure I or many other folks that have never done it thus far could build a "150db on music" setup their 1st time trying it.

That sh*t just takes soooo much work, tweaking, and oh yea helllla $$$$$.

I'm down like a clown w/ an upside down frown if you got that Kinda $$$$ to throw at it.

The hardest thing for me is findin someone thats wants a REALLY loud setup and has the $$$ to back it up.

But I'm always up for a challenge.

I'll be the 1st to say that a 150 music truck is no joke to build.

The X was about cone area and pushing low tones, But even with what I know and having the right equipment you can fall short My F-150 had the equipment but fell short on the build. I didn't spend enough time on the box.

i've spent 4k so far on my subs/amps and dont think i'm in the 150+ yet. rebuilding my box again to hopefully get better output. if not, then ima shell out another 1800 for 2 more subs and an amp to hopefully get me there.

gonna do some work this weekend.. try to get something done.. i hqave 3 stands of 4 gauge i need to run, i have rca's and remote wire to run.. i have to check up on whats up with my deck.. and why its not here.. i have stuff to do..

if i have to.. i have a 1000 watt 2/1 channel xplode amp and 2 blaupunk 12's that i can hammer... they bare in a sealed box.. but i might be able to do something if that is what i need to run... i have no problems killing those subs for 2 days or hell 1 day of fun

Yea that would be a nice setup.

It's NOT gonna get you near a 150 on music by any means.

I'd say that setup could likely bassrace well in the 139.9 class but would likely break out and be in the low-mid 140's.

Might burp a 144-146ish.

Just off the top of my head that is.

well.. if my idea works, i will need ya to design me a box for 2 18" fi's.. have 2 strands of 1/0 gauge.. like i said.. i kinda have to jump on this shit too if i want it for autorama.. 2 2ohm 18" Q. 2 amps.. or 1 big one.. i dunno... this is where i kinda need to talk to someone like you or bill to see what is gonna be better... i will have the cash to do it.. i just need to find out what i am looking at.. i know the box is going to have to be BUILT in the car..
