Katt
cant set ur gains with a Dmm.... You can, But its not guaranteed to not clip at some point. Are you wired correctly? And only 2V Preout, I'd say the gain might have to go up a bit. But still, Best bet is to get a DD1 or a Scope and check it. Then set right. Lbox88
Hey man in the initial settings make sure you chose the rear RCA's output set to sub and not full output. Also make sure that you don't have the HU low pass set to something super low like 50Hz UBL | Build Log
SoundOfViolence
alright i'll have to check my LPF on my h/u and my amp tomorrow. for using a dd1/scope i dont have the money to buy a dd1 or know anybody that has a scope..so the best i can do is use a dmm. and for being wired correctly? I think so xD. Fi X12 AQ750 Pioneer DEH-6300B h/u
STEvil
Check your subwoofer output settings on the deck, some have to be raised to put out the "rated" power to the amp so you dont have to max out the gain on the amp. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. MrSkippyJ
no, if you have your gain all the way up then very likely something is set incorrectly. Guest
the sub level on the headunit isnt up probably. i'd bump it up one notch at a time til that light comes on. edit: people are probably gonna argue that the clipping light isnt 100% accurate, which it isnt, but you really dont have a more accurate method available. SoundOfViolence
On my head unit i got SW Settings 1 & 2. the first settting is just Normal-Off-Reverse. I have it on normal. the second setting i dont think says anything its just like 100hz:0 80hz:0 ect. On my amp should i mess with the subsonic filter or leave that one alone?
