splmark Posted December 17, 2011 Report Share Posted December 17, 2011 I have a t-2000 it has a Rms of 2000, hooked up to a jbl gto2401 watt amp it starts to get stinky real fast. The sub was getting around 1800the watts. The first one had a mechanical noise and then the coil started to rub. I was told it was my box so I swapped the box and it did the same thing. When I sent it back it had a little saw dust on the spider from the 2ed test box and I was told that was the reason for the coil rub and noise and I had to pay $175for a recone. He even put pics on his facebook talking Shit. The funny thing is the first box is a few years old and painted so there was no dust or anything. I contacted psi about a recone and with all the upgrades he can do he said the Rms will be around 1800 since the gap is so small u can't get much coil in there.
