StephenAudios
The 15 will be lighter the 2 12s, but the 2 12s will be louder. Your choice Okay how much of a difference would it be between a 15" N215 and 2 12 BL's? How much louder is the 12s? Noticeably? Because the 15 N215 has the neo magnet so it is a lot lighter then the 2 12s with the traditional BL magnets. And I could probably angle the sub so it can aim at the back seats instead of to the roof because it is smaller then the 18 and mounting depth is over an inch less. Guest
Technically yes It is Slightly smaller yes, but the Xmax is they key Say a 18 had 20mm xmax, but 2 12s had a xmax of 20mm each. With similar cone areas, the 2 12s win because more air is moving, thus being louder. you just contradicted yourself. if they both have the same xmax, which doesnt really matter anyways, yet the 18 has more cone area, the 18 will move more air. 20mm is 20mm. if you have two woofers it doesnt all of a sudden go up to 40, it stays at 20. what you just said is like saying i have a 1000w stereo because my woofer is 500w and my amp is 500w. it doesnt work like that
Vooloco
How much power are you looking to run is the real question, and what do you have for electrical upgrades? About 2000 RMS and i'm getting a 200 amp alt. getting 2 batteries in the back and the amp will probably be an audioque 2200D or the new crescendo 2000 ish amp. StephenAudios
I saw that coming. Socky
If it was me, i would just run 2 sa-12s on that amount of power. That amp doesnt draw much current, my bro ran his on a stock front bat, and a stinger 2150 with a 145 alt and his voltage stays above 13.5 gains set with dd-1. So a good front battery and decent rear will be all you need for that amp with that alt.
