I have four db drive platinum series 15s (1000w rms) and im trying to pick an amp that will work my subs. Ive wasted lots of money and time buying amp after amp from blowing them. i will admit that they arent the best of choice, but they are what i can afford. I admit im a novice to installing, which i do not do, and to amp selection. I just want input on what kinds i should go for, new or old amps(i can try and locate discontinued amps) thanks in advance for the advice..

amps ive had

When you continue having problems, you HAVE to start looking at the constants...which would be you. I would almost bet that user error is the real issue with your equipment.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

sounds like you better upgrade your electrical system before you keep investing in amps. Because either your voltage problem or ohm load is the problem

and my guess is your voltage

have you upgraded any of your electrical system???

also are you mounting the amp to the box or is it on the floor???

And what ohm load are you running your amps at???
