I've only heard the BLs in person, but I keep reading posts saying that the Fi Qs get way lower, The BLs just get louder. Im looking for something that plays lowwww! so if anyone can help me out and tell me if the Fi Q plays lower or not it would help a lot! Fi bl's will get nasty low before i walled my truck i had 1 of my Bl 18"s in a box tuned @27hz it was crazy low...i had another beefy 18" in the same box and the Fi BL put it to shame on the lows & SQ ... Thanks man! Thats good to hear Im still kind of new to the car audio thing, how much should I pay for a good box to be built? I feel like im going to get ripped off since I am young Just build one. It's deceptively easy and to get a box built for 18s will be ungodly expensive Alright, I guess I could give it a shot! Isn't there tricks to building boxes though Some, but they are pretty basic. 14-16 sqin per cubic foot of box space after displacements Smaller box for more efficiency handling, bigger box for effeciency Do a double layer baffle. Some 1.5" dowels for bracing And if you can, some 45 degree cutouts in the corners Subs up, port back for an suv alright thanks! so port up with the subwoofers is the wrong idea?

I feel like im going to get ripped off since I am young it all depends on how good u want the box ...it cost me $114.00 for the wood,fiberglass,glue & screw for the mdf box in the video...took @3 hours to build +2 to glass it and a good builder is gonna want $20-$45 per hour....some are much faster and as long as u brace it good and have no big gaps you shouldnt need to glass the box id say $180.00-$300 for good box sounds complicated and frustrating and I know of a good builder, he wants $350 For Dual 18s, and he charges extra for double baffle, resin on inside, 45s in corners, etc!

You could certainly do it. If it was me, i would choose the bl if it had the 4in coil option, if not, the q.
