extremeauto Posted December 26, 2011 Report Share Posted December 26, 2011 so i am looking into getting a Hifonics colossus...i really like Hifonics amps and have had pretty good luck with all of there amps including the HFI series ! know the bx & bxi amps are pretty beastly and usually do rated with the proper electrical. i have done my research on the colossus as much as i can ...i cant seem to find any thing bad other than dumb ass's not having the right electrical... but i cant find any factory issues or any one that has clamped 1 so i was wondering if anyone one here has had 1 hooked up properly and clamped it and how it did daily and clamped....i really want to stick with hifonics but i dont want a $520.00 p.o.s paper weight...im fairly sure some has had a 2009 & up colossus on here may be able to help.....it will be powering 2 fully loaded Fi Bl 18"s 1 ohm per sub(witch is the main reason i want this amp 1 ohm per sub ) my plain is to run my mechman 220amp alt,my stock 70 amp alt and 2-3 shuriken 120 amp hour batts with the batts i have with 2 runs of zero for positive and 1 run of ground + all the extra grounds i have .i will eventually step up to 2 200 amp alts and more batts... any feed back on these amps would be extremely helpful ....thanks in advance Hifonics colossus on sonic link 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts,interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing!
