loudernu Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Rebuilding the box in my Avalanche. Max outer dimensions are 48" wide, 21" height, and 23" depth. I got three sheets of 4 x 8 birch waiting on me to start cutting. Looking for triple baffle, putting in my 2 15" MT's and going to be running my SD16kd at 4 ohms on daily, and down to 1 ohm for competitions. Want it tuned low, though, as this is a 90% daily driver. I have been playing with Torres box calculator, but trying to get the port area up, and keep low tuning is killing me. Can anyone plug some numbers in, and HOPEFULLY, add a sketchup of it. I suck at sketchup, but like to be able to see what I am building, before I start cutting wood.

loudernu Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Posted December 28, 2011 sorry about that. The MT's are just temporary, until I get some Level 5's. But subs will be firing into the cabin, with a slot port in between them. Looking for tuning in the 30-32 Hz range, like I said, this is mostly daily, with a few shows throughout the year. and total displacement for the MT's is .42

loudernu Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Posted December 28, 2011 .42 is for both subs, yes. And this box will be for the Level 5's, but I am going to run these old MT's in there until then. I know the Level 5's will be good in this small of a box with that kind of power, I am just having a hard time finding the right combo of port area and tuning for this enclosure.
