Subwoofers versus cold temperatures

Okay. It's winter time...and I've been jamming along...I never noticed the difference...but it's been getting cold lately and I've been noticing my subwoofers aren't as loud as they are in warmer temperatures. Now I have a suspicion that one of my subs are disconnected, but all 4 of my subs are in on big box....so the air pressure is moving them all..so I'll have to take it out tomorrow...as if it's too late to take them out right now...and to cold. But the question is...is it wise to be using subwoofers in cold temperature or should I take them out of my trunk...because I just hooked an amp up to my 6x9s and they can satisfy my bass addiction for the winter time.

that's why once its gets around freezing or below, people will say to let the equipment warm up before you really start to crank it.

Yeah I've been doing that, but it's not helping any..so I think I may just take it out...because I have to check the wiring and test all the subs to make sure it's all working.

Ah okay, maybe one of my subs became disconnected in the box and I have to reconnect them...have 4 of em at 3 ohms...been wanting to put them at 1.5 ohms.

Yeah, like a lot of people have said let them warm up. When you just start them up just let them play for a song or two at a lower volume before turnin it way up. It works for me a lot.

Can I ask what subs you have?
