This is the first website I have been on that has to do with car audio. I started doing this 6 years ago on a driveway. This is the 2nd system I built and I was wondering what other peoples thoughts are on it. I have a shop and was the only one in it til this year. When a friend came home from Iraq and needed a place to build his GN. Work a day job as a machinist and everything has been done with a 40 hour paycheck. CameoCustoms Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 1, 2012 What's up. I get that all the time. Good movie. The Box is sealed and had 3 or 3.5 cu.ft. per sub. Each sub having its own chamber filled with poly fill. The box had to have a little notch made into the bottom allowing it to sit flat with the factory floor hump. The car is no longer around, was sold then stolen and recovered. Glory days long behind. Car had 80k on it. No holes drilled into the car. The filler panels and amp racks were all made to a press fit. I made a custom bracket attaching the flip down monitor to the factory dome studs. It had a 300 amp alt, Dry cell battery, that 3 farad cap, Infinity component set on a Memphis highs amp. The subs were powered by a Memphis 1500D. With all the windows down and parked on the driveway with no one in it, you could turn the stereo up and the car would bounce on the suspension up and down about an inch-inch and a half. Did not have a camera starting out so alot is undocumented. We were more concerned about hearing it and cruising the streets than what we were doing. I think it was a clean set-up and was really loud. Never tested any of the systems on a db meter or been to any competitions. Hoping to get more involved in the game this year. I personally hate making holes into cars or cutting into them if not needed, I try to keep them as factory as possible..
