extremeauto
I know this is a dumb question but at what DB level would it be a good idea to disable the airbags....i would hate to be demoing or driving down the road and have them pop in my face...lmao i know they work off of shock sensors and sets of impact sensors behind the grill & or bumpers for exsample alot of GM cars have a magnet type deal that if it is jarred and falls it will deploy the airbags....i have a older 95 Honda passport and dont think i am loud enough yet to worry but may be some day soon just wondering if anyone has had a air bag pop or am i just crazy....if so how loud was your set if u had it metered Quote 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts, interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing! TeamHT
If vibrations would deploy the airbags then so would a million other things tht occur during daily driving. In fact, millions of bags would deploy annually for all cars parked in California. Extemne acceleration/deaccerlation and collisions set off airbags. I have had multiple 150/155+ vehicles on music and nothing yet. If a bag were to go off, I would say some sort of electrical short or faulty equipment. 14dbass
I have never heard of someone having airbags go of because of music but I guess it could happen. I would just pull the fuse if you are worried about it. Owners1
I don't think that the airbag is even triggered by something in your cabin. Maybe if the sensor under the hood was receiving 160db it could be an issue. My car is pretty loud and I have yet to see an airbag error or anything.
