Shitty welds..could have been a lot worse. I love the attention to detail on this truck, never was a fan of orange either but this changed my outlook

I love this color. When it's in the sunlight, there is no way you can drive by without seeing it.

Before this build I knew nothing about welding, now that I've got the experience, I could weld better. Even if its overhead vertical.

Paint really isn't that challenging until you get into the crazy stuff. For the most part it is all in the prep work. I spend days prepping everything and about half a day to paint.

That sucks but sure you'll make t better than what it was

Going to try. Been pretty busy with school lately and have had no time to work on the truck

Yeah it's been awhile since I've updated. Senior year in high school, been busy and focused on school.

As far as learning, I'd love to fab my own brackets. We'll see. Need to do something soon.

I forgot to tell you, but at the beginning of the thread we were talking about how I have to turn the truck off to open the doors. Well I put a momentary "safety" switch in the center of the dash. If i hold that button down I can open either door while the truck is running, but without holding that button the doors won't pop if the truck is on.

Okay guys, truck is still down and out. It's sitting perfectly level in the garage. I'm just waiting for the neighbor to bring his plasma cutter over to get these brackets off. I have the motivation to get this done, just need my neighbors help and he's busy.

Just curious, is there a safety release latch anywhere for the doors? In case of an accident?

Or a window breaker so you could at least get out a window?
