So today I started the console a little bit. Still got some positioning to decide, but here's the start.

This is just 1/8 hardboard for my template. I want to make sure everything looks and fits good before I copy it to the 3/4 Mdf.

if that is not the stock style door actuator how did you change yours out cuz I have a 2000 chevy silverado and im tired of the damn metal bars that the actuator is hooked up to not moving the damn plastic lock.... can you post pics ( if you changed it to that style of actuator) of how you changed every thing over from bar controlled to cable controlled or how ever yours is hooked up??

There are no locks for my doors. That actuator attaches to the latch and actually opens the door. My truck has no door handles and no locks due to the suicide doors. Sorry, I'm no help to that.

I see your running the newer style actuator. did you ever try the older style http://www.rollpans.com/Spal-35lb-Door-Solenoid_p_15261.html I am debating on changing to the newer style. I have been running the older style for like 7yrs, thinking it might be time to upgrade

Those are solenoids. They have a lot more strength, but take a lot of power to operate. So if my battery was almost dead, those wouldn't work. These actuators are the same they use to operate door locks. They work nice, but sometimes they get slightly unadjusted and take 2-3 pops before they open the door.
