I would start out with a new altinator and big 3 before relying on a cap killer to power an almost 3k watt amp! But you are definately gonna need a bigger one than that I would go with a 1700 at least with that much power.

Right here....

Dunno about helping to power a ZX2500.1. Would go for a 2nd battery though, almost twice the amps than the HC-600??

thx for the advice, what do u think about a "Kinetik HC 2000BK (Black Version)" for that amp? im probably gonna do "the big 3", and change the battery up front to a yellow top? how does that sound? or do i still need to upgrade the alternator?

yeah an altinator is mandatory with that much power or your gonna be ruining your stock one! and just doing a battery alone is only going to hide the real problem of an insufficient alt. but that kinetik damn good to have after the alt and big 3!

or should i just go w/ a yellow top battery instead? are they the same thing, or is the "Kinetik HC 2000BK" better? if it is why?

thx in advance.

the yellow tops are nice but the kinetiks are built for serious car audio man, its gonna have more cca's and a higher ah rating.
