SnowDrifter
box is tuned at 37Hz. and think DD will send me some glue or fix it for me or am i gunna have to pay? I think it would be more hassle to try and do that vs running down to the store and grabbing some goop or something. And honestly, ripping up a surround like that is no small task. Now I wasn't there and I don't know what happened, but it seems like that would only happen from over excursion, which if I were DD I would just think it was user negligence. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Bump4life
alright guys thanks for replies. I don't think DD subs should do this either. maybe it was my fault but my SSF is set at 30hz and my line driver high low converter has a 20hz filter too. so idk if it was my fault or not. either way i dont think this woofer should have that problem. but Ill call DD see what they say if not what kind of glue works best to fix it? and where to buy? SnowDrifter
where do you buy CA glue? and is it specifically for speakers? Here I've never needed to fix this, so I can't really say if it's an issue or not... But It seems like there might be some problems with the CA glue due to the nature of the surround needing to flex as much as it does. Perhaps some sort of rubberized glue? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
AI James
actually where its pulled up doesnt look like from over excursion. My all carbon one that i sent back pulled away from the cone...guess what...i sent that shit back. im not going to glue a surround back on a speaker i just paid a grand for. They can get that shit right then send it back. BTW, dont expect them to bend over whatsoever for you, they WILL blame it on you no matter what the circumstances. Mine was never played or mounted had coil rub and the surround was iffy, i still fought tooth and nail to get it redone. It took FOREVER, i mean MONTHS without my sub. If it did happen from over excursion, as everyone said, just glue it and be done.
