DC Audio Trunk Build 50.8db

Recommended Posts

The AT is nice thick stuff. It's a little gummy on the adhesive end. But it works great. You heard my car at AR. Did you hear my doors rattling? Neither did I, 2 layers of that stuff lol

under construction

I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me.

u hate c-fizzy?

So to clamp you take your DMM and put it into the +/- speaker leads and then put your clamp meter around the positive speaker cable closest to the amp as possible.DMM should be set to AC volts and clamp should be AC amps. Then you take those numbers and multiply by each other and get your total output.Take your total output and divide by whatever your subs are wired too and get your box rise.Is that correct? If so do you take that box rise number and add it to your 1ohm or that number is your total ohm load including box rise?
Also make sure you deduct your starting ohm load. So if you have a 1ohm load and a rise to 4.5 ohms, you have a box rise of 3.5 ;)

So for me I was doing 1735 @3.7 volts?

90.4 volts

19.2 amps

90.4*19.2=1735.68

90.4/19.2=4.7

4.7-1= 3.7ohm correct

or would the 3.7 just be how much im rising.

Finally got to clamp one of my amps.No thread jacking intended Mario.

Wired to 1 ohm not strapped on SAZ3500

74.1 Volts

37.36 Amps

2768 watts at a 1.98 ohm load

Is that good or what?

looking good! tuned in for your new additions!

i might have missed it but why didnt you just go with a 9k or 12k vs the 2 5k's? I'm sure space was an issue

deadner I'll never use anything other then Second Skin, after wasting time on a few lesser quality deadner...... a 20ft pack of damplifier is $69 and I think they have 15% right now... you'd have plenty for the front doors with a 20ft pack, prob could do 2 layers
