vetkilr01
8" pvc doesn't look too promising. 8" Aeroports with a 10" flare look even less promising. I think this car has a 51.5+ in it. The loudest cars with two 12's I've seen have one 8" port flared usually the port was past the rear deck area(slightly into cabin). Might be something to it. Blackedout
I thought you were saying 2 8" ports. My mistake. Looks like you can get a single 8 in there. Trunk Build Log
C-Fizzy
8 won't fit. Not enough baffle surface to mount it to if it used a flare. And if no flare, the screws would hit the baskets of the subs when it would be screwed in. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy? Blackedout
Did bill already look into using an 8? Isn't that baffle 36"? Trunk Build Log
kingsuv
Here is what I am finding. It's not a lack of port area. When we did the slot, we had plenty of port. A single port isn't going to work because we want both the higher tune for numbers AND something more daily. 2- 8" ports while in theory will fit, we are still talking 2 - 50lb subs on a face that is getting tight on support. I would have 10" free of face to make a, then 8.25 ish hole. That doesn't give a shit ton of wood for support on both sides where the subs and port meets. It would suck to have all that in there and have the face of the box implode because there was less then 2" of actual wood support between the holes. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
kingsuv
My honest assessment of the car now is voltage. I think his yellow top is a nice paperweight after 6 years and the 2 stinkers in the back are taking the brunt of it all. I would be willing to bet, that 1 amp running those subs would put out the same score. I just don't see too much more gain until the basics are improved on. It's what worked well in Ray's hoe, and I would say both setups are pulling about the same amperage. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. cjvue
In my testing, two flared 6" pvc (5.75" to be exact), is just as loud as one 8".... Blackedout
Sounds like Mario needs to WALL IT! Only way to improve voltage is find more room for batteries. A box in the trunk doesn't leave much room for batteries. Trunk Build Log
