SA-12's Sundown audio. amp?

Recommended Posts

not saying rf is bad lol, it would be a joy to own a CP amp. but the price.. sheesh >.>

i really rather deal with box building to get the rise down.

and just a question.. but arent the CP amps only good up until 2 ohms of rise? then they fall off? so like.. say my box was rising to 8 ohms, CP wouldnt help anyways would it? jw not being a smart ass or anything.

It doesn't stay constant to 4ohms, but look at the ratings compared to the AQ. The RF 1k amp does more at 4ohms than the AQ 1.2k amp. So it does help across the board, but no, it doesn't stay flat.

Ok... Mobile makes me want to stab hot pokers through my eyes >_<

Please ignore my previous posts

Lets try this on desktop

Well... I have a soft spot in my heart for the Crescendo BC series. So a BC2k at a half ohm would be sweet

So would and AQ2200 at a half ohm on solid electrical

Or 2 Hifonics BRZ 1200s at 1 ohms each - would also be my personal choice since it seems to be the perfect amount of power for an sa-12.

  • 1 year later...

Its gonna be inside of a 2002 Saturn L200.

And hes asking me 300$ for the pair? im thinkin thats an ok deal.

Anything cheaper that will perform well IM ALL EARS http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/blum.gif

I would go ported for sure. The frequency of your car is around 33Hz, the only way I know this is bc I have an 01 L200. Satty Love! In the future if you want to upgrade I would go with Fi's BL 15 or the new sundown X15 or Zv.4. All are beasts of a subs and you won't be disappointed.

Well if you plan on getting two subs, deffinitly get D4's. Why? Well, if you were to get D2's you would only be able to wire at 2 ohms, which wont be getting your full amplifiers potential. i'm not saying 2 ohms is bad, im just saying, to power those SA-12's (which i have) you are going to need an amp that runs at least 1200 @ 2 ohm. And thats going to be more expensive than buying an amp thats stable at one ohm. If you were to buy the D4's you can wire your subs at 1 ohm and decreasing the money you will spend on an amp. Personally i have 2 SA-12 D4's on a Hifonics BRZ 2100. Let me tell you, it gets the job done.
