Tuneing and mabye Metering

OK so I'm getting my amp tuned with a dd-1 on Sunday and maybe a metering I'm thinking maybe a before and after but it depends on if he has his meter with him.

Now i have never had my setup metered so i don't know how loud i am so i want to see what everybody on here thinks I'm going to say in the 90-100db range but I'm hopeing for the 100-120db range my setup is in my Sig and the link to my vids is in my sig also

firstly, hitting 90-100, don't even worry about if your over that, you are.

100-120 again is EXTREMELY Easy

120-140, mid 130s is where systems really start to separate themselves from one another. 140+ is a good accomplishment.

as far as what your system does, only the meter can tell, there are so many variables and metering types that guessing would be the same as shooting an apple at 1000m with a bb gun at midnight in a field with no light.

I'd meter with the amp set with the DD-1, then turn up the gain more and meter again. You'll more then likely be louder with some clipping which should be fine for a 3 second burp...

please do not do this clipping will in no way make you louder. if any thing u would lose dbs from clipping. plus you risk ruining your equipment.

My 2009 mini cooper S with 6.5" mb quart woofers on the stock amp would do 121db. My single 10" sealed on 600w did 131-132db without tuning. If you can't break 110 or so with your setup.. Quit the game.

id say if it was a pure spl car that would only get played a shows then maybe i would but this car will never see shows and its my dd

Where did you read that? Actually it could be louder... Clipping just from gains is a waveform distortion for when an amp is overdriven... Because the clipped waveform has more area underneath it than the smaller maximum unclipped waveform, the amplifier is actually producing more power... but its dirty power... You would be louder but would most likely burn up your equipment doing it. So dont do that OP
