First box in 15 years, Here are the specs

I haven't built a box in 15yrs. The box is gonna house 2 rockford HE2 8's D4. I am gonna push shem with a Rockford 500.2 bridged to 500 @ 4ohm. I am going subs facing up and port back. The box will sit where the center console of my my Ext cab 96 Chevy C1500 Truck is.

you need more port than than, shoot for at least 12ins per cube. most people like 13-16.

definitely need more port area. and bigger ports vs more, smaller ports

From what I see it recomends 12-17 in the port area range and your at 6.28, so that needs doubled at least, then your port per cube is at 4.xx and should be at least 13

I would use one single 4" round port. It would give you around 12sq inch of port. On round ports I use between 9 and 12 sq in of port.
