Hey guys. I just got two new american bass xd1044's with a matching box, their being powered by a Nitro BMW-486 "2000w". I guarantee its hardly pushing 1200w. I have a pioneer deh-1700 head unit with factory 6x9's, factory dash tweeters, and Scosche 6.5's in the doors.

My plan is to upgrade everything except the door speakers for now.

All my looking up and such hasnt given me a good idea of what I can handle without amplifying anything except for the subs. Any ideas or other support are greatly appreciated!

Go with some kenwood door speakers. They sound damn good for 80 bucks a pair, and you could run them on the headunit easily. Then upgrade the deck to a kenwood excelon(those run 100-150 for 1 dins with basic EQ). For sub amps look elsewhere though.

ill let you know right now you might have some mounting issues with the rear 6x9's when i upgraded mine in my neon i replaced them with some lighting audio ones (they where free) they kinda teeter and could only get 2 out of 4 screws in to hold them down because of how the rear deck is molded

For 169.99 I think thats a good deal, even though it isnt a certified amp. What brand do you reccomend for 1500w?
