varietyguy
At first I thought my amps were going into protect then I thought it was my line driver. After paying attention I realized I'm skipping my flash drive. How do I fix it? The head unit is mounted in solid. And it's skipping at half volume which is really concerning me. Ric Thornton
honestly bro... that is a problem with a lot of head units when you have a high spl setup. (or low tuned bass that does some shakin) not much i've found that you can do... except use the 3.5mm headphone jack if available.
fodosho
Just your subs are cutting out, or all of your music is? Your usb stick or memory card may be going bad, (some have short lifespans)
varietyguy
It does it on multiple songs and at medium to high volume. It worked fine for the last month until yesterday. I'll try a different USB. Don't really want to switch to 3.5 because I am substantially lower on spl. Quiet
If it's skipping with the music (hard beat or vibration) then it's probably the USB connector. Like Rick said, it's a problem on a lot of HUs. If it's doing it through the song at whatever volume, then I'd suggest re-loading your drive... Move the entire contents to your computer, do a full format of the drive, then move it all back. I've had that issue while doing a lot of arranging of music on both my phone and my Sansa Fuse portable. You can also get a faster USB drive. Quote 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
