The mainstream shops like EZ Pawn are great because they get some good high end quality, but their prices match it. I like going to the "old timers" family owned shops because they don't like car audio or don't know the value of it. I will never forget the rockford BD1000 I paid $20 for in working condition. Downfall of those shops is they don't like updating prices, so that nice 200 lb sony flatscreen from 1999 still has a $1000 price tag on it. I haven't bought anything from a pawn shop in a while but I stop by all the time to see what they have.
