Like battlewalrus run them for 4 to 5 days at about half the sub power then you will be good to go

you could play the fresh reconed one free air at a low freq, low volume for a little to lossen up the suspension

if subs had to act exactly the same to work, no setup in the world would ever work. Car audio is not some magic land of zero tolerance levels and exact sciences. Most of you have measured the resistance of your coils, how many times were they exactly the same? Ever seen birth sheets on some amps? Not many are exactly the same.

Put that fucker in and tune it well, and let er rip!

I've noticed a big difference when putting in fresh reconed subs in with others that have long since been broken in. Also, I notice all the small things, and seeing the difference bothers me more on a personal level than anything.

there certainly will be a difference, it just won't hurt anything. except, once they are broken in the play better.

once i get my newer one i will probably throw it in my 1 18" box and play it untill i get my new box built, thanks for all the input guys!

I think you should do a 2500 to each... or a dc 5k... I had a ddm4 on 2 then put 2 m4s on 2 and it came alive...... my buddy actually had lvl5s on 2 xxx4kss. Its what sold me on 18s loudest 2 sub daily setup I heard at the time... you could hear it from blocks away... straight thunder.... xls are better daily an musical sub imo... I've surpassed him with 4 xls to his 4 lvl5s....
