Biggest increase from show to show?

Recommended Posts

Curt had to take work truck to a show in jackson after bending the axle on the trailer for the rover...did a 141.x. next show with the rover 164.x. so in meca 23.x from 1 show to the next. :)

Like skittles said in meca all records are re set after finals because of rule changes.

I set personals goals for myself. Last year I wanted to be the first to break 50 in AS. Did it just not at a show to count :( and someone beat me to at finals. New goal this year is trying to catch up to TommyK for loudest single woofer set up in PnP. :)

:trippy: Holy crap that's a huge gain!

Yup, those were the days I experimented a lot and didnt have a meter, so I found out things at the show.

And I remember the one on April of 03, 1 show on a saturday I thought I'd have thin competition so I showed up with 1 woofer running off a 400w amp. And a guy beat me, so I showed up the next day for the next show with 2 subs and a 1500w amp

It was my old walled car with 2) 15" MTX RFLs. Built for burps in SS 1-2 class.

400w amp was a RF 200.2 from 96. Then I started using my MTX 1501Ds from 2002

Actually, the 151 to 171 was with my MTX 81000Ds. I added power from show to show but also they didnt switch to the TermLab till 2003 so the meters could fluctuate from show to show. So to me, the changes in 2003 were more impressive and accurate.

i didnt know that, ive only done a few comps here in alaska and all the ones ive been to are done according to iasca guidlines. Not apart of the iasca season but they just follow their guidlines. i know that what ever meter they do use though doesnt change from show to show ( with the exeption of one show where they didnt seem to know how to use it correctly )

pussy shit! we had a guy at meca state finals who registered for a higher class that no one was in just so he could get the big trophy. that isnt winning sir, thats admitting your system sucks and you had no chance in your own class so you took the easy way out. its called a competition for a reason.

Seems to me that the person in question had a mod 3 build in his truck. His transmission went out in said vehicle, so he drove what is basically his family car that has all types of mods to state finals and competed in the class that his car qualified in..So I certainly hope that you are not talking about my teammate. And if you are, that really makes YOU look like the person that you are demeaning in your post with such negative connatation about competition.

If you are not speaking about my teammate, then I digress. However, since Ackawilly was the only 1 at finals who was previously in another class and moved to a empty higher class, I assume that you are... In the future before you arbitraily assume something about someone or their build; remember that cars break down, people get in wrecks and equipments blows. For that reason, someone may have no choice but to enter a future show in a different class. You have previously been a voice of reason for Bassick that many respect, I certainly hope that you will continue being that person.

in all honesty, i ignored the name because i didnt want to know. i was told by the judges that this person checked if anyone was in said class, found out it was empty, then asked to move to that class. and when asked "why?" he just shrugged and said "just cause i want to" (or something of that nature). other people have done it with DBdrag, its not a new issue. it is an issue that makes me lose respect for the person so instead of having that awkwardness toward one person, i just remember the story and not the man in it. its easier for me to go on peacefully that way because i tend to hold a grudge and I dont like that.

when i state my opinion about what I believe is wrong, im only talking about that "wrong" action. if a person falls into that category i speak against... well thats on you. i dont name names or point fingers.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
