Hahaha. I'm in DC. Work with all the NOAA satellites (in a nutshell).

Did anyone get any good shots of the lights????? This is all I could find so far. Europe got the better view..

I have been watching SOHO vids on and off for years. That is one hell of a CME. Its not very often you see them blast straight at the camera like that. Impressive for sure.

Doesn't get better than Alaska for the Northern Lights ;)

You can say that again, I was in Fairbanks last fall, and the northern lights where so bright and vivid it was insanity. It felt like the whole sky was moving.
