IKnowImLost224
Did you really expect a new headunit to sound exactly the same by doing the settings the same? They are different, set it up accordingly. Put the sub level to max and then scope or dd-1 your deck and amp. Leave the EQ flat. Didnt expect it to sound exactly the same but I figured they woulda been somewhat close. But I will try to put the DD-1 on it soon

Well I guess another question is, i had two 12W7's wired to 1.5 ohms and they didn't do much unless sub level or bass boost was up. But then I put my buddys 12" Directed SX Wired to 1 ohm in my car and they hit wayyyyyyy harder. Does that .5 ohm really make that much of a difference? I already know I need to upgrade my amp (I have heard it plenty of times) its a power acoustik BAMF 4000/1d with HC1400 and cap.
skittlesRgood
any time you get a new HU you should reset your gains. raising the sub output only increases the RCA voltage for the sub output. turning up the gain would do the same thing. so go re-tune your amp and see what happens. loudness, is supposed to boost lower frequencies at lower volumes. as you turn the volume up, the effect is supposed to fade out. so at full volume, loudness shouldnt do much at all. its not something I have tested, thats just the way they are supposed to work. Ah sorry for such horrible advice. lol. My HU, most of the time is on, I only turn it off when it's early in the morning or at night...considering my subs are so loud. Why do so many people recommend DD-1, why not O-scope? *Newbie question* Quote New build coming soon. OrionStang
Reading>Carshateme I said "scope or dd-1". And so many people recommend it because its a little easier than an oscope, and it works. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
