nosho47
I understand... but as of right now i have no battery in the engine bay. they are all in the bed. i'm debating whether to put a d375 under the hood cause it is really tight under the hood. so would that mean i will have to run the wire from the front to the rear then? sprkn_ranger
Im assuming your battery's are grounded to the chassis/frame in the bed? I would just upgrade the engine to chassis/frame until you can get some money to run a 1/0 or 2/0 from the alt bracket all the way back to the rear batts. No need to find room to put a batt up front. Edit-just make sure you find a good solid spot to ground to the chassis/frame and always make sure you ground down to bare metal. sprkn_ranger
Sounds like you have an issue with something not shutting off if your not playing and the truck is sitting and draining your batt. my understanding of grounding to the engingblock tk batt was for a better ground from the alt. please correct me if im wrong Yea your right, the alt is grounded through the engine block from the alt bracket (if that makes sense) and that's why you upgrade the ground wire from the block to the chassis. You can also run a wire from the alt bracket to the chassis/frame as well. Here is that diagram if anyone wants it: Check out my build log! 4 Havocs in a blowthrough http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187506-sprkn-rangers-blowthrough-build/
PURP's 02 Denali
so if you have multiple batts would you do it for all batts or how would you wire several batts because i get how to do the BIG 3 and as soon as i start my new build im saving for i will add this but i want at least 2-3 batts and 2 under the hood. i know all the batts are going to connect to the charging batt but would i do BIG 3 on all batts or how would i wire several batts?
